GN1 is more than a tourism platform. It is a movement — a bridge between Namibia's landscapes, its people, and a global community that is ready to discover one of Africa's most extraordinary countries.
"GN1 is a bridge between our landscapes, our people, and a global community of travellers, creators and investors."
Global Namibia One was founded by Selma Kamanya with a single, powerful vision: to put Namibia on the global map in a way that is authentic, inclusive, and sustainable. Not as a destination to be consumed, but as a living culture to be experienced, understood, and celebrated.
GN1 connects Namibia's most extraordinary places, people, and businesses with an international audience through ambassador-led campaigns, immersive tours, destination marketing, and a growing digital platform that showcases the real Namibia — in all its diversity and beauty.
We are Powered by Heritage, driven by InnoNation Foundation values, and guided by a commitment to community-first tourism development that leaves lasting impact.
We drive international visitor numbers to Namibia and connect global trade partners with Namibian businesses — from small craft makers to luxury lodges and corporate brands.
GN1 creates pathways for young Namibians to participate in the tourism economy as ambassadors, content creators, entrepreneurs, and cultural guides — not just service workers.
Through InnoNation Foundation programmes like Inno-Grows, we pair tourism development with grassroots innovation in food security, aquaponics, and community agriculture.
We host delegations of international ambassadors, giving Namibia authentic exposure to audiences in the US, Europe, Asia, and across Africa.
Selma Kamanya wins Miss Namibia 2018 and goes on to represent Namibia at Miss Universe 2018. She begins using her platform to champion mental health advocacy and youth empowerment through what would become the InnoNation Foundation.
The InnoNation Foundation is formally established. Inno-Grows is launched — equipping Namibian households and communities with aquaponics systems and backyard farming tools to tackle food insecurity.
Selma represents Namibia at Miss World 2025, reaching the Top 8 and being named Top Model Africa — one of only two Africans to advance to that level. GN1 gains international attention and begins expanding its ambassador network across new countries.
GN1 is conceived as the tourism and trade arm of Selma's broader nation-building vision. The platform launches with the mission of connecting Namibia to the world through ambassador-led storytelling, destination marketing, and community tourism.
17 international ambassadors with a combined audience of nearly one million are hosted on the first official GN1 immersion tour. Destinations visited include Sossusvlei, Etosha, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, the Ongandjera and Uukwaluudhi Palaces, and the Pink Salt Lake.
The GN1 digital platform launches with 39+ listed destinations, 7 brand partners, hotel listings, local craft shopping, and an ambassador programme now spanning multiple continents. This is just the beginning.
Proudest Namibian Moment Award 2026.
GN1 is the tourism face of InnoNation Foundation — Selma Kamanya's grassroots development organisation working at the intersection of mental health, food security, and community innovation in Namibia.
Through Inno-Grows, the Foundation has equipped hundreds of Namibian households with aquaponics systems and backyard farming knowledge, reducing food insecurity one family at a time.
A portion of all GN1 partnership and platform revenue supports InnoNation Foundation's community programmes directly.
